PROJECTSIntroduction [Biosketch]
- Somnath Santra is currently working as an Assistant Professor Grade II in the Mechanical Engineering Department at NIT Silchar. Prior to this, he was postdoctoral researcher in Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire de Physique at The French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), France. He completed his PhD degree in the Department of Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. He completed Master degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, and Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from the West Bengal University of Technology. His research interests include Biological Fluid Dynamics, Microfluidics, Multiphase flows. He has authored 20 research articles in reputed journals/conferences to date. He is the recipient of Marie-Curie Seal of Excellence Award by the European Commission in 2022, CNRS Postdoctoral fellowship in 2021. He is also recipient of the DST-INSPIRE Faculty Fellowship Award, 2023. He served as the reviewer of several reputed international journals.
